When we take careful view of Scripture from Genesis to Revelation, we see three areas of responsibility that we are called to do. John 15 expresses these three priorities all together beautifully, and I list several other passages that support these essential priorities, just turn to a concordance and see for yourself. Out of these priorities, we can take God's Word and contextualize it to the streets and to the direct needs of the people, so they can come to the knowledge of our Lord.
Why is understanding about the Trinity essential for being a Christian?
Matthew 24:1-28: This is part one of a two part study as a prelude into The Book of Revelation. It is essential we understand the events that are to come and not bow to false teachings or sensationalism, and the best way to do that is see what our Lord Jesus Christ taught on the matter.

He purchased us out of sin and doom into His love, care, and grace. He took us from sin and gave us a reason for being. Thus, at some point in our spiritual development, we have to comprehend the magnitude of who Christ is and who we are in and to Him.
Hope is essential! Do you have hope? Do you know what hope is? Hope is our forward outlook to be in Christ forever. This produces Joy. Heb. 11:1, "the substance of things hoped for".
Matthew 5:1-2, The "Sermon on the Mount" can be referred to as the Christian Manifesto, which contains the core essentials, the foundation of thought and attitude, of the Christian leadership life.
Nothing in our Christian lives is as important or compares to the value of learning God's Word and then incorporating His precepts into our lives. Thus, memorizing a passage of Scripture is an essential way not only to know His Word, but to know and grow in our Lord and Savior. Yet, many Christians have neglected, even negated this discipline, including me on occasions.

Be saved and then repent! "Repent and be saved!" This is a phrase we hear so often, but, have you considered its origins? Is this in the Bible? Surprise…NO, it is not! We may say it with genuine good intentions as both ends of this phrase are very Biblical and essential. We need to repent, and we need to be saved. But, this phrase is actually backwards! It should read, "Be saved and then repent!"
