The date is significant, because if Revelation was "just" written about far-away future events, then this letter to people in dire stress was mostly meaningless. How could they listen to the words of the prophecies and obey something that was not relevant to them?
We all are called to make disciples! There are only two kinds of people who cannot disciple, and that is one who is not a follower of Christ and/or one who disobeys God's command and refuses to disciple.
What will you do with this incredible opportunity of expanding the Gospel so others can know and grow in Christ?
A vision will have your primary call from Scripture, to hear and obey His Word!
Are you apprehensive at the prospect of going out to witness? Have you done evangelism with all of your heart and passion with little to no results? Well, so did Paul! Although he had no fear, he did have little results with his own people at times, yet continued to obey God anyway.
Love, Lead, Offer, Value and Equip.  Commit to building Christian values and principles that show Christ's value and theirs that lead the people in your church to quality and beneficial relationships at home and at work.

The lives of Christians would be a lot easier if we did not teach these truths; and, this is a big reason why most of us Pastors are weak in our faith and why many churches no longer teach Truth, but rather false doctrine, liberal ideas, and/or spend all their time chasing trends.
You can be a Mentor! We as Christians have a debt to pay out of our gratitude for what Christ has done. We must consider reaching the lost as an opportunity to obey our call.
